About The Piedmont Stitch House
The Piedmont Stitch House is an embroidery-first custom apparel company serving businesses and organizations nationwide. We specialize in professional embroidered company apparel, including polos, hats, jackets, workwear, uniforms, and accessories, with screen printing and DTF available when those methods are the better fit for the garment or order. Based in North Carolina, we work with companies both locally and across the country: nearby businesses benefit from free delivery, while nationwide orders ship directly to their door.
We work with businesses and organizations nationwide and ship anywhere in the country. Businesses in central North Carolina and Southern Virginia get free delivery.

Our story
The Same Shop, Turned to Face the Work That Kept Coming Back
The name is new; the craft is not. We stitched our first logo in 1999 as Action Graphix, serving schools and businesses in Northern Virginia until 2009. In 2026 the shop reopened in Leasburg, North Carolina, with a 15-needle commercial embroidery machine and digitizing done in-house. The work back then came in the way it does for most decorators: screen printed tees for teams, events, and fundraisers, with embroidery offered alongside it as an add-on when somebody asked for a polo or a cap.
Over time the add-on became the better half of the business. Embroidery was what companies came back for. A printed event shirt is ordered once and remembered fondly; an embroidered polo becomes the thing a practice or an inn or a professional office puts on every day, reorders every spring, and asks us to match exactly when they hire someone new. That is a relationship rather than a transaction, and it deserved to be the front door rather than a line item.
The Piedmont Stitch House is that decision made visible. Embroidery first, with screen printing and DTF still here for the jobs they genuinely suit. The name changed because the old one described a screen print shop, and we had stopped being one.
- 25+ years since our first logo — started in 1999, reopened in North Carolina in 2026
- Same ownership — The Piedmont Stitch House is a registered trade name of Action Graphix, LLC
- Digitizing done in-house — your stitch file is created here and kept for exact reorders
- Embroidery led — polos, caps, layers, and outerwear are the core of the shop, not a sideline
- Printing kept, not dropped — screen printing for quantity, DTF for short runs and full color
- Based in Leasburg, NC — free delivery to area businesses, shipping nationwide
Why embroidery first
What Changes When a Shop Specializes
Any shop can put a logo on a shirt. What separates a company apparel program that still looks like itself in year three from one that quietly falls apart is narrower and less glamorous than that: consistency, garment selection, and reordering.
Consistency. A stitched mark is a physical file — a stitch count, a density, a thread number. Once it is digitized properly, the twentieth garment matches the first, and so does the one you order eighteen months from now. We keep the file rather than re-digitizing and hoping.
Garment selection. Embroidery is unforgiving of the wrong blank. Thread pulls on thin knits, sits badly on some performance finishes, and will not behave on a seam-sealed shell. A shop that stitches every day knows this before your order is on the machine, not after.
Reordering. New hires arrive one at a time. Because your garment, color, thread, placement, and stitch file stay on record, a reorder is a message rather than a fresh project, and our six-piece embroidery minimum can be mixed across item types so you are never buying six of the same thing to add one person.
Specializing also means being honest about the other direction. When you need three hundred event tees, screen printing is the right answer and we will say so. When you need one shirt for somebody who started Monday, DTF handles it. Neither is a lesser service; they are different tools, and keeping them in-house means one shop, one point of contact, and one set of files.
Where we are
Based in North Carolina, Working Locally and Nationwide
The shop is based in Leasburg, in Caswell County, and we deliver across the region: Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Burlington, Raleigh, Durham, Cary, and across the Virginia line into Danville. Businesses in that area get their finished order delivered rather than shipped, at no charge.
Being local is convenient, not required. Artwork, proofs, and approvals happen by email, and the pieces themselves ship anywhere in the country — which matters for a practice with offices in two states, or a company whose staff are not all in one building. We do not operate a retail counter, and we do not offer pickup.
The businesses we work with tend to look alike in one respect rather than in industry: someone there cares how the place presents itself. Medical and aesthetic practices, inns and chef-driven restaurants, boutiques and studios, professional offices, private clubs, schools and alumni groups, and trade crews who want to be recognizable in a customer’s driveway.
- A proof every time — your artwork on your actual garment color before anything is produced
- Quotes in one business day — with the method we would use and the reason for it
- Digitizing charged once — $24 standard, $45 complex, $10 if you own the file, $0 on reorders
- One point of contact — the person who quotes your job is the person running it
- Straight answers — including when a job is not a good fit for us
Common questions
About Working With Us
Are you the same company as Action Graphix?
Yes. Same ownership. Action Graphix served schools and businesses in Northern Virginia from 1999 to 2009, and reopened in Leasburg, North Carolina in 2026 as The Piedmont Stitch House, a registered trade name of Action Graphix, LLC.
Why did the name change?
Because the old one described the wrong shop. Action Graphix read as a screen print business with embroidery attached, and the work had reversed. The new name says what we actually do most, and what we want to be judged on.
Do you still screen print?
Yes, and we are not apologetic about it. Screen printing starts at 12 garments and carries no screen or setup charge. DTF printing has no minimum at all. What changed is the order of the conversation: we ask what the apparel is for before we ask which machine it is going on.
Is there a minimum order?
Embroidery starts at 6 pieces, and they can be mixed — three polos, a cap, a sweatshirt, and a jacket is a six-piece order, so you are not forced to buy six of the same thing. DTF has no minimum; one piece is a real order. Screen printing starts at 12 garments, because that is where the screens make sense.
Where are you located, and can you deliver?
We are based in central North Carolina, with free delivery to businesses across the Triad, the Triangle, Caswell County, and Southern Virginia, and shipping anywhere in the country. Orders are handled by phone, email, and delivery rather than at a retail counter.

The garment, roughly how many, and when you need it is enough to begin. Artwork is welcome but not required — a photograph of a shirt you already own will do.
