Why embroidery

Give Your Company Apparel a Polished, Professional Finish

Embroidery is a natural choice for company polos, hats, jackets, and workwear where you want your logo to have a more finished, dimensional look. The design is stitched directly into the garment for a durable finish that stands up well to regular wear and washing. It is especially well suited for employee uniforms, customer-facing staff, sales teams, and branded apparel worn week after week.

What we embroider

Embroidered Polos, Caps, Jackets, Aprons & Bags

Embroidery suits structured pieces and anything with a collar. Polos and wovens for staff who face customers, caps for crews working outdoors, softshells and vests for the months when a polo is not enough, aprons for kitchens and counters, and bags that leave the building carrying your name.

Placement matters more than people expect. A left chest mark that is correct on a polo will sit too low on a jacket with a different yoke, and a cap front has a hard limit on height before the stitching fights the seam. We size each placement to the actual garment rather than applying one setting to everything.

Where the mark usually goes

Left chest, cap front and back, sleeve, jacket back, apron chest, and bag panel. If you want something less common, ask. It is usually possible, and we will say so if it is not.

  • Thread matched to brand colors — we choose from stocked thread against your color values, not by eye
  • Sized for the piece — a cap front, a polo chest, and a jacket back each get their own setup
  • Six pieces to start — and they can be mixed: three polos, a cap, a sweatshirt and a jacket counts
  • 7–10 business days — typical from approved proof; tell us early if you have a hard date
  • One-time digitizing — $24 standard, $45 complex, $10 if you own a stitch file, $0 on every reorder
  • Proof before production — artwork shown on your actual garment color for approval
  • Backing chosen for the fabric — so a knit polo does not pucker around the stitching

How it works

How Custom Embroidery Orders Are Made

01

Digitizing

Your logo is converted into a stitch file that decides the path of the needle, the direction of each fill, and where detail has to be simplified to stitch cleanly.

02

Thread and placement

Thread colors are matched to your brand, and the mark is sized and positioned for the specific garment rather than a generic template.

03

Your proof

You see the mark on your chosen garment color and approve it. Nothing goes on a machine until you say so.

04

Stitched and delivered

Pieces are run, checked, folded, and delivered free to area businesses or shipped to you.

Personalization

Employee Names, Titles & Credentials

Most company apparel needs two things on it at once: a logo that never varies, and a name that changes with every garment. We set those up as separate elements, so the mark stays identical across the whole order while each piece carries the right person.

In healthcare that usually means a name with credentials underneath — RN, FNP-BC, DDS, DVM, LME — on scrubs, lab coats, and layers. In hospitality and professional firms it is more often a first name or a role: front desk, sommelier, project manager, partner. Either way, send us a list and we will produce a proof of the layout before anything is stitched.

Small lettering is the part that needs judgement. Names and credentials have to be sized and digitized to hold their shape in thread, which sometimes means a slightly larger line than a graphic designer would draw. We will tell you when a name is too small to stitch cleanly rather than run it and hope.

  • One logo, many names — the company mark is identical on every piece; only the name changes
  • Credentials and titles — stacked under the name, or on a second line at the placement you prefer
  • Add one later — a new hire is a one-piece add-on to an existing setup
  • Laid out before stitching — you approve the name list and the layout on a proof
  • Sized to stay readable — we adjust rather than shrink a name until it closes up

Repeat orders

Repeat Company Orders & Reordering

Company apparel is rarely a single event. Someone starts in March, a jacket wears out in November, and a year later you want the same polo in one more color. Our job is to make the second, fifth and twentieth order easier than the first, not identical work repeated.

After your first order we keep the approved embroidery file, the thread colors chosen against your brand, the placement and sizing used on each garment type, and the garment details themselves — brand, style number, and colors. A reorder is then a message with sizes in it. There is no re-digitizing charge on a mark we already have, and no setup work to repeat.

It also means consistency you can hold up next to the old one. The chest mark sits where it sat last time, in the same colors, at the same size — so a new hire in year three does not look like they came from a different company.

Where we work

Nationwide Embroidery, Made in North Carolina

Nationwide. Artwork, proofs, and approvals all happen by email, so where your offices are does not change how the work gets done. Finished orders ship anywhere in the country, and we can send to more than one location on the same order — useful for a practice with two offices or a company whose staff are not all in one building.

North Carolina and Southern Virginia. We are based in Leasburg, and our delivery area runs from the Triad through the Triangle and up into Danville. Businesses in that area get their finished order delivered by us at no charge, and a local proof conversation can happen on the phone the same afternoon.

The six-piece minimum exists so a business can start with us early — one department, one round of polos — and keep working with us as the team and the order sizes grow. It is a starting point, not the size of order we are built for.

  • Ships nationwide — orders go out to any state; multiple ship-to addresses on request
  • Free local delivery — businesses across central North Carolina and Southern Virginia
  • Proofs by email — nothing about the process requires you to be nearby
  • Six pieces to start — mixable across garment types, so small teams are welcome
  • Room to grow — the same shop handles the six-piece order and the program that follows

Common questions

Custom Embroidery Questions

How long does an embroidery order take?

Most embroidery orders ship in 7–10 business days once you approve the proof. Bigger runs, outerwear, and unusual garments can take longer, and the clock starts at the approved proof rather than the first email. If you have a hard date, tell us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it is possible.

Is there a minimum, and can I mix garments?

Six pieces, and yes, mix them freely. Three polos, a cap, a sweatshirt and a jacket is a six-piece order, so you are not stuck buying six of the same thing to get started.

Do you charge for digitizing?

Yes, once. Turning your logo into a stitch file is real work: $24 for a standard logo, $45 for complex artwork, or $10 if you already own a usable stitch file. It is a one-time charge — we keep the file, so every reorder of that mark carries no digitizing at all.

Will my logo work as embroidery?

Most do, with judgement. Very fine lines, small text, and photographic shading do not survive in thread. Send the file and we will tell you what we would adjust and why, before you order.

Can you match my exact brand color?

We match as closely as stocked thread allows, which is usually very close. Thread is a physical product with a fixed palette, so we show you the match rather than promising a number.

Can you embroider on garments I supply?

Frequently, yes, though customer-supplied pieces carry risk we will explain up front, since a garment damaged in a hoop cannot be replaced from our stock.

Do you do individual names on staff pieces?

Yes. Names, titles, and monograms are common on polos, jackets, and aprons.
